What is Awapuhi?

This is a variety of tropical ginger that grows in the Hawaiian Islands. Its juice is naturally clear, slippery, and very effective at softening hair and giving it a shiny appearance. It's nicknamed the "shampoo plant" by locals. It's featured in Maui Moisture's "Mani Awapuhi" product.
